Alba lamp by Jonathan Oria and Enrique Rubio

Alba is a lamp that seeks through its presence in the habitat to generate an atmosphere of plenitude and serenity. The formal aspect arises from the study and interpretation of the Mediterranean rationalist imaginary and its juxtaposition with the European functionalist movement. Based on this analysis, the development of the piece followed the idea of a self-supporting structure, where all parts are needed by one another. The number of components is the minimal amount required; shape, materials and finishing of the parts are defined by their role within the whole set.

The launch of the first self-published series of Alba is meant to serve as an invitation to know our work. This early series consists of forty limited units, which have been individually numbered, marked and packed by hand.
