I recently introduced a line of furniture made from reclaimed wood salvaged locally from construction sites and discarded pallets from local warehouses and stores (within 5 miles of our vicinity in Atlanta, Georgia).

The idea is to push people to think about the importance of nature and recycling not simply as an act of separating paper from glass and aluminum, but as a way of being and functioning on a daily basis. Specifically, the Balance Table integrates elements such as moss and river rock into the table, allowing people to reconsider the false dichotomy of nature versus manufacturing, or nature versus progress. The piece is made from recycled pallets and split rail.
