Bloom by Rachel Goth
Rachel Goth celebrates the beauty of nature by capturing its essence in 3D print. Flowers are described in outline like 3D sketches while reeds and grasses are reduced to simple curves. Made from a nylon plastic the pieces are feather light and stronger than their fragile appearance suggests. Each necklace and bangle is formed from a single shape which is manipulated and repeated to form the complete piece. The designs are executed by a 3D printer. Even the necklaces are printed as one piece with chain already attached. Rachel then gives each print a hand made touch by the application of either dyes or paints to create a range of effects from subtle gradients to bright bolds.
The collection is available in shades of orange and blue.
Rachel is a former graphic designer living and working in the south of England. She initially became interested in jewellery design through beading and progressed to silversmithing. When she discovered laser cutting and 3D printing Rachel realised she could use her digital design skills to make her jewellery. Now she uses the same software as games designers to produce her work.
