MATTEO BASTONI + CRISTINA CELESTINO for ATTICO: BORCHIA lamp

Pure and honest volumes, sincere shapes blended with genuine materials, made in the best italian districts. Cristina Celestino, architect, and Matteo Bastoni, fashion designer engaged a project of blending toghether their own skills. The common idea is to introduce a brand new project, Attico, which takes strength from local identity. Industrial design quality and research skills applied to traditional materials generates a new projectual philosophy. Borchia lamp, taking its name from its literal italian translation; ‘the stud lamp’ aims to bridge the gap between fashion and industrial design through the process of arranging and applying a ‘stud’ to the wall. The Borchia is, like all Attico projects, manufactured by local craftsmen of italy. The main construction from folded steel and can be finished brushed or mirror . Borchia wall lamp has been shown at salone del mobile 2011 in Milano. On 24th october 2011 on sale at Aste Boetto design auction in Genova.
