Comfort Hair is a series of live sculptures (also presented as photographs) that explore ideas of cultural identity and the intimate relationship of hair and society. The bundle of braided, knotted, unknotted, unraveled then reconstructed hair is more than just a bundle of hair.

The sculpture is woven with meanings of tradition, persistence, hard work, confusion, agony, the unknown, beauty, status, and weight. This identity or collective identity that is woven together represents a certain status and beauty, along with our obsession of adornment.
