This year at 100% Design KAZA Concrete continue their tradition of introducing latest designs and innovations by launching their new collection of contemporary concrete tiles Concurrent Constellations.
The new tile designs address the concurrent influences of geometry and ornamentation, while continuing KAZA’s ongoing exploration of contemporary design.
Concurrent Constellations celebrates the eternal harmony between naturally evolved living forms and architecture’s geometrical shapes. The four new tile designs offer a series of constellation representations depicted in surface patterns. The collection is dedicated to the birth of objects in which the parts are connected to each other on several levels, forming a comprehensive image of creativity and exclusivity.
For the creation of Concurrent Constellations, KAZA reached out to designers and artists from diverse backgrounds, with remarkable conceptual, textural and spatial thinking.
Contributors to the new collection are:
Rough Front, NYC based design studio founded by designer-architect Elijah Porter
Chaim Machlev, tattoo artist based in Berlin
Levi Fignar, long time KAZA design collaborator
Ilan Garibi, origami artist from Tel Aviv
Together they inject new perspective into what is traditionally known as surface design.
Featured alongside the debuting range, KAZA also exhibit a concrete mosaic tile installation named TRE. Designed and built exclusively in celebration of 100% Design show’s 20th Anniversary, the installation creates a captivating kaleidoscope experience for the visitor, supporting the theme of the 2014 exhibition.
