Called ‘Crane’, the design consists of three parts – a base made from cast-concrete, a matte aluminum stand and a head – so that it can be bent at the top joint. This new table lamp is appealing both for its technical qualities and poetic language. It is a bold shape with explicit silhouettes, which stands out in space and recalls a perched bird.
This design aims to create a desk lamp of sensory beauty and a diffuser with a conceptual and simple yet sophisticated form and the industrial aesthetic. Its shape is based on a horizontal, flowing surface. A long and slim rod supports the housing of the LED light source that expands into two legs, forming a cast for the ‘Crane’ pose.
The white light is lit internally by energy-efficient LED and radiates a gentle, ambient quality of light. The low glare light emanating from crane makes it ideal for reading or simply bringing a new impression to a space.
This Project will be present in the next month at the IMM Cologne D3 Professionals 2014.
