to me it seems that most important design or contemporary art. either solves basic functional tasks in fun or best ways or raises important questions suggesting or generating a point of view. what we do, and what we have done together with Dr. Lakra was created from a point of departure / approach. the item is called Dr. Lakra’s Mutant Laboratory.
we wanted to make a toolbox that potentially grows the imagination of the user. whether it does or not depends of the user. to some people this might be important, others not. to kids or creatives this is a daily game or part of daily life. using the imagination to see things that aren’t there.
with general monsters i work to unleash creative potential into ideas and products that promote imagination and attitude. we create solo or collaborate with other artists. it can be a placebo project, just offering another item or ideas, items with ambition of bringing new – educating, holding hands with or enabling the user.
– our first product is a co-lab with artist Dr. Lakra.
the project is called: Dr. Lakra’s Mutant Laboratory.
you can create 190.000 imaginary characters.
after securing the production, this was ready in november 2012, everything happened fast. now we’re present at MoMA NYC and Paul Smith UK. the akward situation is that, also with our website launching only some 20 days ago, few knows us. perhaps your readers would find Dr. Lakra’s Mutant Laboratory intersting?
