Design and production of technologic pointé shoes that allow the ballet dancer to recreate their movements into digital pictures using a mobile application that is included in the kit of the purchased product.
The concept of Electronic Traces is based in capturing dance movements and transforming them into visual sensations through the use of new technologies. In this case we focused in the ballet shoes dancers, which through the contact with the ground, and thanks to Lilypad Arduino technology, records the pressure and movement of the dancer’s feet and send the signal to an electronic device. From there, a special application will allow us to reflect these data in graphical and even customize it to suit each user, due to the different functions of this app. The final product is as close as a conventional ballerina shoe. The technology is implemented inside the shoe and there is an electronic graphic that tells you that those are special ballerina shoes.
Later, the user can view all the moves he has made in video format and extract images and even print them. The dancer can interpret their own movements and correct them or compare them with other dancers, as graphs created with motion may be the same or different depending on the type of movements executed and the correction of the steps and body position.
This is a project that can be extrapolated to other dance disciplines and their applications are multiple, from own learning or dance classes to the graphic representation as performance in live dancing.
