Ein Loft für Eva by Carla Gertz Architekt

The Loft shows a harmonic collage between old Substance and new Furniture. The new Elements complete the old structure with living space. Every peace is unique and handmade. The white baseboard flows through the rooms and connects the doors, cabinets and frames. The interplay between open and closed surfaces imparts the rooms a playful ambience.

The surfaces in the kitchen repeat the surfaces of the floor and the wooden cabinets. There is a high level of natural light in the loft produced by the white furniture. The master bath is surrounded by minimum and maximum scaled tiles from 5 x5 mm to 1×3 m sizes.

“Eine Wohnung für Eva” is a renovation – project of an old office building to a residential Loft in Bielefeld, Germany. Architect: Carla Gertz Client: Eva Project: 2014-16 Location: Bielefeld, Germany Surface : 86 m²
