Gap refers to the spaces needed to stabilize the wooden structure. This will define the character of the chair.
Gap also represents the border between indoors and outdoors, fusing them into one. One of its mains characteristics is its ability to fit perfectly in different atmospheres.
All components are mechanized using CNC technology. The traditional mortise and tenon structure is hold together by means of screws instead of glues that wouldn´t resist an extreme exterior use.
Gap optimizes material: it uses just 0,016 sqmtr from the thinnest sawn boards normally available. The one you see is made of american oak and finishing with natural hard-wearing oils. Also available in iroko as a sustainable alternative to teak.
