A newly wed couple, two dogs, a baby, a villa with swimming pool to accommodate them the best it needed to adapt to the expectations of the new family that was going to live.
In a heated exchange with the client, the Studio has developed a project that allowed to take advantage of the large spaces available drawing them to measure for the life of a demanding family.
Architectural intervention objective: enhancing the perspective effect created by the different levels and the breadth of the spaces making them more fluid, functional and welcoming.
Then it was decided to soften the atmosphere by replacing the cold look of original materials with stone, iron, tuff, wood left natural, recovery parquet, stoneware that looks embroidered by hand, using a color palette very soothing that tacks of beige to those of gray.
On the ground floor the continuity of the rooms is underlined by flooring of stoneware plates on which the variations of light and perspective point out the decorations in bas-relief.
The living area of about 200 square meters has a large living room divided by columns covered in tuff and dominated by the central table with iron base and top in solid wood Briccola.
The conversation is reserved an area slightly lowered paved with azulejos that gathers around the fireplace wall in piasentina stone, recycled slats and iron, and when necessary turns into TV area thanks to a projection screen that descends from the ceiling in wood.
A long oak wall containment sided with smoked glass bar area, allows to screen or as necessary to connect the living room to the living place of the daily family life.
Here a central island houses the food preparation area, in kerlite, and the dining area in oak ash, and culminates in a fireplace with retractable glass in piasentina stone base, to complete the equipment of the kitchen resin containers and a large iron hood of design; TV area is heated instead by the oak ceiling.
Two steps further down, a wooden paneling with horizontal strips hidden accesses to service areas and the wellness area with slate stone sink and a Finnish sauna. The intermediate level that acts as a hinge between the first two floors of the house, enhanced by parquet recovery, a green wall stabilized and a large iron window that floods the space with light, becomes the focal point of the intervention total.
The iron railing of the staircase leads to the sleeping area where existing quality materials such as teak wood flooring, the briar doors and travertine cladding of the three bathrooms were recovered, and were rebalanced the proportions of the bedrooms, equipping the master bed room with walk-in closet and central bath with land taps in bronze brass. The Jacuzzi was then placed on a balcony that spans the entire house. On the top level, a multipurpose room from whose terrace offers views of the garden with pool.
The total project is valued by furniture and lighting that, carefully chosen by drawing on the best designer brands, but also to second-hand dealers, markets and art galleries, mixed with travel memories, help to make the environments not only stylish, contemporary , but above all warm and cozy.
