H Lounge by SOLV:
Minneapolis based designer, George Mahoney of SOLV introduces the H Lounge with the idea that a chair shouldn’t dictate how one sits. The H Lounge was thoughtfully designed and constructed for the active sitter to accommodate various seating positions with an emphasis on comfort.
Staying true to his minimal, modern and organic aesthetic. The H Lounge’s simple architectural structure and fluid form combines exceptional comfort and freedom of movement.
The organic fluid form invites countless seating positions providing comfort for an extended period of time while arched corners provide a nesting quality to the seat, hugging the body in repose.
The H Lounge is comprised of a mono plywood shell that sits upon a strong, lightweight tubular steel frame. High-density foam is molded into the shell with tapered corners and fabric is then hand-sewn
Sold through SOLV directly.
The illustrated H-Lounge is the first in a series of collaboration with illustrator Jason Greenberg. Much of the work at SOLV is influenced with surface and graphic qualities. The Shell is bright white with the hand drawn illustration protected with an industrial, non-yellowing clear coat.
H-Lounge, fully upholstered version. Shown two ways: first, in an industrial grey felt with CNC embroidered orange flowers, second, in an orange/cream wool tweed.
H-Lounge, whimsy in Synthetic Turf. During long cold winters in Minneapolis, you sometimes need a reminder what’s under the snow. Also, a formidable dog chair.
