São Paulo, Brazil, based architecture firm Kiko Salomão Arquitetura created a new collection of furniture. “The pieces were originally created for one of our interior design projects, but there was such great acceptance that we decided to produce them separately as design pieces” said Kiko Salomão, founder of the firm. The collection of furniture is made of a side table, a coffee table and a bench, and were designed around the minimalistic aesthetic, with the firm’s characteristic modern and contemporary influences. The materials – brass, stone and leather – give the pieces an elegant and chic feeling. The pieces are made by order and in a small scale. “We’ve started designing custom pieces for our projects more and more since we felt that there was a lack of furniture pieces that suited our conceptual interiors. Now most of the furniture pieces are designed by us in collaboration with our manufacturers. This way we are able to give our projects a complete sense of the concept that we created,” he adds.
