An installation for a Japanese furniture production, CONDE HOUSE. The theme of this installation was “Komorebi” which is a characteristic Japanese word and special meaning for Japanese people. It expresses sunbeams streaming through leaves in English. There are wide-ranging words to express sunbeam in Japan, “Komorebi” means “a hope for the future” for Japanese. This installation was made by 15,000 leaves were all offcut leathers that passed out of process of production the furniture of CONDE HOUSE. And the stuff of the production cuts out them by hands to the form of leaves.

Kazunori Matsumura used the leaves to make “Komorebi” in their shop. The leather leaves was expressing natural autumn leaves. He made a visual scene of the 15000 autumn leaves are drifting on the air. The mass of the leaves were staged to look trees and expresses sunbeams streaming through leaves. It was like a scene of in the forest by leather leaves. As a result, visitors are covered by “Komorebi” that expressed “a hope for the future” and “the heart of the production”.
