This lamp is one part of an interior Design work for a bar/restaurant in Saigon, who asked me to work on a concept based on the 70’s Design codes, to create a trendy and funky atmosphere.
One of the partners in the business being a DJ in his spare time, I played with old records to create an eye catching object, which primary function is to make a link between music and space.
Made out of laser cut parts and second-hand records found in the massive Chatuchak market of Bangkok, this lamp is ideal for big spaces, and can be turned into a floor lamp or a pendant.
Its name LP refers to the records themselves, but is also the first and the last letter of the object itself: LamP.

Although my initials are DJ, I prefer listening to records than scratching them!
