Every pair is hand made. Every pair is unique.
Every component of the eye wear is made out of wood. Even the hinge.
MOKU is a project started in 2013 through a crowd funding campaign.
A project instigated from a strong desire to shift away from petroleum
based products in which we consume from a day to day base.

There are a few reasons of choosing wood as our material to manufacture frames.
1. A large percentage of people own eye wear.
80% of people in Japan own prescribed or non-prescribed eye wear in Japan.
2. Japan has a lot of wood.
3. Wood is an natural material that is biodegradable.

Everything from our case to the frame is made from materials that are biodegradable.
