Nefertiti is a chair that aims to regain some of the relegated typologies in furniture’s history. Those typologies attributed fundamental characteristics for function and aesthetics. Born from the affirmation that every element with three points of support will always be in contact with the ground regardless of the quality of the land. I have studied the position of each support points , which are projected from the dimensions of the seat to extend the stability’s area . Besides, a curved seat helps to absorb the movements of the person , to ensure that the center of gravity always remains between those three points. It has a narrow and curved backrest that fits comfortably in the back, providing the right and necessary support for the person to feel safe and pleased.
In addition to its aesthetic values , comfort and functionality, Nefertiti may arise in other types such as chairs and benches, to generate a program to increase the offer of the product.
Developed during the master degree of furniture design at Elisava in Barcelona, Spain and tutored by Ricard Ferrer.
