The lamp is gone, but the light is still here. That’s the leading concept in my here presented design.
I use the most common and easy recognized lamp silhouette and take it out of a 40 x 40 x 20 cm opaque box.
The first version is made of black metal by welding; the rough look is intentionally preserved. The gentle light comes from a LED band, hidden in, so that no direct light irritates the eyes. When not at work this “sculpture” serves as a well proportioned bedside table, where one can leave their book, spectacles or glass of wine.
Design is my manifesto.
