SOMEWHERE TOKYO is holding an exhibition titled “NOISE” from May 13 to 28. The exhibition will showcase a range of works published during the seven years of h220430 / Satoshi Itasaka’s activity.
Works were selected after careful consideration for their inclusion of Satoshi Itasaka’s fundamental policy and attitude: “conveying messages to the society through design.”
In the last seven years, since the day Satoshi Itasaka started his activity up to this day, the world has dramatically changed beyond our imagination.
A new meaning has been added to each of his works in response to the social and environmental changes that occurred in between the time of its creation and present.
We hope that this exhibition will provide an opportunity for many people to recognize the importance of design making a commitment to the society, without becoming a slave in economic activities, and to feel and think about the meaning of each individual work.
