Nolos side table by MCVR Architects

The side table ‘Nolos’ is born from the simplicity and honesty of each of the elements that compose it. A rod folds three-dimensionally to create the skeleton that gives order and structure to the table. The wooden box, which is a container and a new level zero, is attached to the rod eliminating the instability that the rod presents by itself. The cable snakes until it reaches the hook formed by the rod from where the light of a bulb hangs illuminating the space that surrounds the table. Thus, a strong symbiosis is generated between the box, the rod and the bulb that allows a coexistence in equilibrium. The table, designed for a low-cost serial production, allows the personalization of the different elements leaving intact the design concept.
