With a particular interest in conflict and contrast, Alejandro Cerón produces ‘One by One‘, the creation of balance and aesthetic harmony through the combination of extremely contrasted materials and processes.
Hard and cold shiny steel has been combined with matt and soft colored silicon, resulting in a highly visual and tactile contrast.
The production process also combines relatively opposite ways of manufacturing. The structures are entirely hand-crafted while the silicon rings are casted in molds, a sort of ‘mass-production’.
Just to mention the obvious, every ‘One by One’ is unique.
