Giacomo Moor’s new collection is inspired by the fine verticality of stilt houses’ structure and the elegance of Flamingos. As in the previous collections Attraverso and Metropolis, he focuses on the intersections between design and architecture. This time, for the first time, he challenges his ability to work with wood and apply them on layered bamboo.
Driven by the lightness and grace of the vertical stem of bamboo, he embraced also the precious beauty of brass and the effect of trasparency giving by sanded glass suggesting rice-paper finesse. Palafitte communicates with Spazio Pontaccio thanks to the captivating story behind the collection and thanks to its refined language achieved by a sapient use of emotional materials like glass, brass and wood.
Palafitte series comprises a desk, two consoles, two low tables, a screen and a light. Each structure is assembled without screws nor glue and when dismounted, all parts fit together into a flat container.
After the success of New York’s Collective Design Fair, Palafitte will be on show for the first time in Italy from November 10th to December 6th in Via Pontaccio 18.
