We here at M26 Studio in Chicago hope your weekend was great! We want to show you a project we’ve been working on and just launched on Kickstarter, Rotere 360º.
M26 Studio began as a space in which Ward could explore the design of objects not hindered by the pressures of the corporate world and the requirements of offshore sourcing. With this, Ward set out to create an affordable, beautifully designed, adjustable task lamp that could be made in the USA. The result is the Rotere 360º Task Lamp, a fully articulating lamp that will be made in Chicago. The first run of lights is being made by Ward himself, of reclaimed walnut salvaged from a mid-century house in Glenview, IL. By engaging local manufacturing, Ward is confident that the Rotere 360º can be affordably produced locally.
The Rotere 360° Task Lamp was introduced June 10, 2014 at the 10th Annual Guerrilla Truck Show in Chicago to a great response. Our Kickstarter was launched on June 18, 2014.
