Attached to the e-mail are 7 examples from my new “saudade” portfolio. Saudade is a Portuguese word with no direct english translation. It basically refers to a longing for something or somone that you know is never going to return.
The portfolio was my way of paying homage to the final days of analog.
I shot all of the images with an 8×10 camera, black and white film developed in pyro, and for the final prints I handmake 20×24 and 30×40 split toned silver gelatin prints.
