Recent luxury design graduate Bettina Pozzo Di Borgo will present her latest work – the “Seal” vase at this years Maison et Objets* in Paris. Invited by prestigious French crystal wares manufacturer Baccarat, along with only five other students selected from her university, the “Seal” vase will feature in an exhibition of their new collection House and Lighting Spring/Summer 2013, at the fair.
Being one of the six lucky projects developed during one year of collaboration between Baccarat and with ECAL, “Seal” is praised for it craftsmanship, which is a rare luxury today. The stamp, representing the logo of the manufacturer, is the signature of a work that could only be made by the human hand. Therefore flaws are favoured, like a testimony that humans, unlike machines, create imperfections.
