“Instead of finishing a product by painting it. I started from colour. By initiating a dialogue between shape and colour, I aim to unhinge the traditional roles in what defines a product.”
Conventionally, colour acts as the outer layer of a product. Its sole purpose is decorative and determined by the object’s shape. Shaping Colour takes its departure by unhinging this hierarchy. The work can be seen as a visual investigation into the relationship between colour and shape and the ways in which they influence an object.
