The Milan based design consultancy Skrivo has collaborated with the Italian brand Miniforms to design the “Slope” collection of pendant lamps inspired by the shapes of mountains.
By combining two distinctly different materials (metal & wood) and carving into the cones in order to reveal the inner grains of the beech wood. The result is a series of three dimensional pendants that provide multiple profiles depending on the viewing angle.
Additionally, thanks to the force of gravity the metal cone shaped lamp shades simply sits on the wooden pendants to allow for easier assembly and shipping.
The “Slope” pendant lamps are available in three sizes and colours. They were presented during the Milan furniture fair in April .
The Milan based design consultancy “Skrivo” specialises in industrial design across furniture and lighting sectors working with manufacturers across Europe. The studio was founded in 2011 by the Croatian/Irish product designer Stefan Krivokapic.
