My name is Patty and I’m a dollmaker from Florence, Italy.
I graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, I started doll making in the same period, and I soon fell in love with creating small characters.

My technique is simple but accurate: I create my dolls from paper clay and acrylic painting, and make the clothing from vintage fabric.
I am inspired by characters from paintings, movies, tales and history.
I created a stop motion video to show my dollmaking process, that was recently featured on the Etsy Blog
https://www.etsy.com/blog/en/2013/a-doll-comes-to-life/ .

I sell my dolls in my online boutique www.dedalos.etsy.com
and I describe my work on my blog www.de-dalos.blogspot.com.
I also manage a facebook page http://www.facebook.com/DedalosArtDolls
where I update my followers (about 1680 now) with new items and promotions.

This is a dropbox link from which you can see and download some images of my work.
This images have only been featured on my fb page.
I usually send different images to different blogs, but I won’t warranty the exclusiveness of them in case I don’t receive any reply (negative or positive) about my submission in a reasonable time.
I will be glad to provide more images if needed 🙂

Apart from the Etsy Blog, I’ve been featured on Babble.com :
And on Plumetis Magazine Blog :
I’ve been recently contacted for a feature on Contemporary Doll Collector Magazine.

I would be very happy if you consider my work!
I hope that you like it 🙂

Thank you for your kind attention,

All the best,
Patty – Dedalos
