I’m working with Conran and I thought I’d send over some images and information about a recent collaboration with Gordon’s gin for possible inclusion on Moco Loco:
They held a launch event last night as part of London Design Festival that was a village fête themed affair with ten ‘pods’ for visitors to play which included Ten gin bowling, Lemon shy, spin the bottle, quick draw, message in a bottle and the opportunity to create your own patterns on iPads.
The designs can be downloaded from http://www.gordons-gin.co.uk/ten-green-bottles and there is more information on the collection at http://www.weareconran.com/introducing-ten-green-bottles/
What I like is that the each design incorporate the number in the series – some in very subtle ways.

“TEN GREEN BOTTLES SITTING ON A WALL”
Gordon’s launches Limited Edition collection by Conran
The makers of the nation’s favourite gin, Gordon’s, has partnered with world famous British designer, Sir Terence Conran, to create two show-stopping Limited Edition collections, which bring a modern twist on a classic to your drinks cabinet.
Seeming an obvious marriage, the two brands share the common values of craft, wit and intelligence coupled with creativity and flair. Each bottle has been carefully curated to tell a different story, inspired by Sir Terence Conran. The designs, which are printed on 100% cotton fabric, feature the corresponding bottle numbers intricately incorporated within a unique print.
To celebrate the launch of the ‘Ten Green Bottles’ collection, Gordon’s and Conran have created a celebratory ultra-premium ‘Ten Green Bottles’ series, which features the designs, printed on 100% cotton fabric and hand stitched to create a tight fitting bodice around the bottle. Exclusive to Selfridges, it will retail from October at £400 a bottle or for a cool £4000, you can secure your very own entire set of ten.
This collection is a range of only one hundred bottles, lovingly hand sewn in the UK with care and attention. Each one-off bottle is hand signed by Sir Terence Conran himself. You will also receive the corresponding design print on A3. As only ten of each bottle will ever be sold, this will surely become a highly cherished collector’s item.
To avoid disappointment, the makers of Gordon’s have created another bespoke collection so that consumers up and down the country can purchase the ‘Ten Green Bottles by Conran’ for just £14.99. There are 10 different exclusive designs from which to choose, ensuring there is one to suit all tastes.
Sir Terence Conran commented: “This has been a hugely enjoyable project to work on and it’s been a pleasure to collaborate with the team from Gordon’s. We’ve enjoyed the process of creating a collection of unique and beautiful bottles that reflect both the quality and diversity of the Gordon’s and Conran brands. Good design improves the quality of life and we hope we’ve managed to create something special whilst maintaining the elegant, timeless and instantly recognisable look of one of the world’s favourite and quintessentially British drinks.”
Famed the world over as the ginniest of gins, why not try the new Gordon’s Elderflower serve for a twist on your classic G&T – just add a desert spoon of bottlegreen elderflower cordial and garnish with lime, mint and cucumber for the perfect start to your evening.
Only ten sets of the ultra-premium ‘Ten Green Bottles’ Limited Edition of Gordon’s will be available to buy in 70cl bottles, exclusively through Selfridges, with an RRP of £400. Alternatively you can purchase the collection available nationwide through major supermarkets priced £14.99 for a 70cl bottle and £20.89 for 1L.
