The exclusive Rainbow Angel collection, designed by Qu, combines one of the Western world’s most iconic symbols with Chinese mythology and an injection of humour. The two figures, representing the masculine Hong and feminine Ni, are available in sixteen colours. Xiang’s I Have Seen Happiness collection reflects a similar sense of whimsical humour, drawing on themes of innocence and serenity and reminding us never to lose our youthful aspirations.
Art duo Xiang Jing and Qu Guangci have had stratospheric success since launching X+Q Art in 2010, with regular appearances in Chinese VOGUE, GQ and ELLE Decoration amongst others. The husband and wife sculptors, who founded their joint studio in 2007, were already critically acclaimed and commercially successful artists when launching the X+Q brand two years ago. Xiang’s work, which featured in a major exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery, has fetched the highest price ever paid for a Chinese sculpture sold at auction.
X+Q Art is available to buy in store from either Squint (South Kensington and Shoreditch) or Mint
It is also available online from culturelabel.com and squintlimited.com
