Three White Noise Walls, mixed media artwork on stretched canvas	48" h x 96" w x 2" d 50 lbs. 0 oz.

James Cordas creates art using sound waves and acoustics to dictate form. Here is the artists statement for his piece, “This piece is made of an archival giclée print on canvas that has been layered with shards of safety glass and polymer resin. It is framed in a 1/8th inch thick natural wood frame that is 2 inches deep on the sides. There is an 1/8 inch of space between the artwork and the frame. The piece is fitted with a standard 1/4 inch output jack on the bottom right side and an iPod on the back. The iPod comes loaded with the audio track “Augmented Tsunami Wave Audio.” The audio is designed to act as an accompaniment to the visual work and was created specifically for this work by the artist. The artwork has undergone many phases of treatments to produce a picture that is a different viewing experience from all vantage points near and far, macro and micro. The outer most treatment of broken safety glass acts as a distortion to both the picture and the light of the room. The shards highly resemble diamonds but were chosen for their conceptual relativity to the picture itself.”
