They look a bit out of shape, a bit wrong, just like the world around you when you are tipsy! A great choice to serve cocktails or add a distinctive touch to your tableware. Chic and playful, TIPSY always stands out and inspires conversations.
Original 25cl Duralex® Picardie glasses are fired in a kiln at a very high temperature, transformed slowly into cheerful sculptural pieces. Melted in Teplice, a small town in Czech Republic, each glass is truly unique.
The original TIPSY glasses were initially created for DesignMarketo during London Design Festival 2011 and first introduced to the wholesale market in 2013. Since then the product has been very successful which led to the extension of the range with two new exciting colours and the recent addition of TIPSYMini, made from a 9cl Duralex® Picardie glass.
Swiss designers Loris Jaccard and Livia Lauber meet in London whilst working respectively at BarberOsgerby and Established & Sons. Loris studied product design and contemporary jewellery at HEAA in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Livia studied product and industrial design at ECAL in Lausanne.
In 2011 they set up LORIS&LIVIA to research, design and develop characterful pieces, versatile interiors and ideas that challenge the way we engage with the world around us.
The East London studio develops and produces its own designs, while also consulting for international clients including Wogg, Covo, Acne Studios and Oyuna. They have both run workshops at Design Universities of Zürich (ZHDK) and Geneva (HEAD).
