The topographical collection was conceived from the result of applying the reticulation technique for 820 silver alloy. The high amount of copper present in the alloy means that, by applying heat, the blade is strongly distort generating an artificial and complex relief.
The created pieces highlight this characteristic. The earrings, pendant and mainly the brooch put the topographic sheet in prominent position in the user’s body that carries with himself a piece of an imaginary landscape.
Another characteristic is that this landscape is changing over time. The high amount of copper present in the alloy makes 820 silver more sensitive to oxidation. Gradually the pieces are gaining black and brownish shades, which reinforces the topographical aspect.
The user decides how he would like to use their pieces. Anytime he can clean up the pieces with silver cleaning products and they will return to the original appearance.
