All the emotional charge of the tribal jewels from the African continent unleashed in the collection of the Italian brand of 3D-printed accessories.
They could be the perfect ornament of Henry Rousseau’s characters. In its paintings, uncontaminated creatures of huge expressive power seem immersed in lush forests as well as vivid and luxuriant jungles: happy expressions of an archaic world, that is free and joyful, where nature is an active player in the laws of the cosmos just as man is. And if the atmospheres and environments imagined by Rousseau are unquestionably unique, also the design input at the basis of Tribù is evident from the name itself. The jewels designed by Matteo Zorzenoni for Maison 203 are inspired by the shapes and drawings that are typical of the tribal jewels of the African continent: a world of objects united by a vivid richness of shapes and colours, together with great stage presence and a huge emotional charge; emblematic productions of a world that is still partly uncontaminated; thus, in some way freer and happier.
In Tribù – a set of accessories comprising a necklace, 2 bracelets of different size, a ring, a pendant and earrings, available in orange red, blood red, burgundy, cobalt blue and black, as well as the bicolour variants in blue/orange-red, burgundy/sky blue, black/blue – the jewels are characterised by great formal complexity and strong visual presence. They also reveal ornamental decorations of significant aesthetic impact, characterised by the presence of triangular geometrical patterns, the graphics of which is even more evident in the visual contrast offered by the bicolour variants of the jewels: shapes, graphics and decorations made possible only thanks to the use of 3D-printing.
An uninterrupted playing of bold lines and strong interlacements – wisely underlined by the striking printed graphics and the marked sense of colour that distinguish the collection – characterises the entire set of accessories, subsequently painted and finished by hand to guarantee that bicolour effect which represents the further peculiarity of Tribù. To all intents and purposes a successful example of digital craftsmanship, capable of skilfully combining the technological innovation of 3D printing and the know-how of Italian craftsmanship tradition in a real concentrate of expressive charge and vitamin energy.
