I call this the Trinity table. It is comprised of 3 leg members that on their own would be tippy, but because of the cantilevered lower shelf applying weight to the dominant rear 2 legs it is surprisingly stable. The more weight applied to the lower shelf, the more stable the table becomes. I had come up with this design as a means of not having a need for levelers on the legs for uneven floors, as well as a metal reduction in the base. Not every piece of wood would be suited for a design as such, but many live edge pieces fit nicely into the overall look because of natural tapers in trees.
