Forfars bakery of Brighton, celebrates it’s 75th birthday this year. This achievement is phenomenal considering how much the production of bread has changed over the last century. The Forfars bakers have kept up with the growth of our cities using specialised machinery and an optimised factory layout. They churn out loaves to the masses.

I have used Forfars fluffy, white loaves to cast a set of unique, ceramic trophies. I have proven it possible to hack even the most standardised and safety-checked industries for the production of artisanal and crafted objects.
