UK designer Nicholas Collins uses kiln forming glass technique to produce glass center piece
The use of light, medium and dark diamond shapes in semi translucent white and transparent black glass create a pattern to give the illusion of three-dimensional cubes
Constructed out of more than 200 individual diamond shape when placed and fused together create the geometric pattern. After the first firing the design is cut and worked by hand using diamond tools to create a soft edge then the design is fired once again to create the functional form .
The design is available in two versions semi translucent white and transparent black and comes in a gloss or sandblasted matte finish for a quieter more subdued statement.
