Tyvek Vase is simple and light.
It is sealed and constructed similar to take-out paper cup.
Several of them create a different landscape.
The purpose was to create package that also functions as a beautiful object.

I’m a recent graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design and my name Jiwon. My Tyvek Vase has been receiving positive comments as soon as it was posted on my website. Therefore, I want my project to be available for view for larger audience through Mocoloco. I’m currently looking for a manufacturer to produce it; I had hard-time finding a manufacturer for several weeks because many are not familiar with Tyvek since it is a relatively new material. Here is a description of my Tyvek Vase:

Tyvek vase is made out of waterproof paper, DuPont™ Tyvek®, a nonwoven high-density polyethylene fibers. The use of Tyvek® approaches a different way of using industrial material by transforming it into a beautiful home object. Designed just in time for Valentine’s day, the objective was to create a simple and light (yet strong enough to stand) package for flowers. A package could be temporal but Tyvek Vase is a package as well as a functional beautiful object for your room. Flowers will go back to the soil, Tvyek will have have a second life too; repurposed for products like corrugated pipes and landscape material.
