My work is a visual metaphor aiming to communicate that we are consuming too much and too fast. I decided to apply destruction inside of daily objects in order to make more understandable how much our natural environment is fragile. To symbolize this idea of “bulimia” that our society has towards the natural resources I created some pieces with the collaboration of the ceramist Claire Daucé which seem to be devoured by gnawing and they become progressively a torn lace . This “destruction” of the object sometimes taken to the extreme, is creating a tension which represents the fragility of our natural environment. The project will be exhibited during Paris Design Week in September.
