Atelier NOAH has a strong interest in simplicity expressed by geometric lines and simple, timeless materials. Coming respectively from the fields of industrial design and interior design, we focus on joining details and the integration of furniture in living space. ??Our new ZOE collection is the result of a reflection on the relationship between two-dimensional and three-dimensional elements. The collection which relies on lines as geometric and volumetric elements, consists of four products – two stools, a bench and a console table. ??The angular shape of the steel structure was developed as a graphic detail, bringing stability and rhythm to the furniture collection. The light base is balanced by solid ash wood, drawing inspiration from Japanese tradition. Each element is streamlined, designed with compact urban spaces in mind. Despite their simple appearance, all furniture elements offer a practical feature: a storage compartment is integrated to the surface of the console table, the bench features an umbrella stand, and barstools boast extra-large (and extra-comfortable) seats. ??The Zoe collection was developed for COOP Etabli, a new cooperative regrouping twenty designers and Quebec manufacturers, who join forces to offer more accessible residential furniture. Montreal-based Atelier NOAH is formed by Vincent Clarizio and Caroline Deforges.
