In America, we think of water as something that we consume, while people who live in third world countries think of water as something to keep them alive. “Acqueduct” focuses on our failure to perceive the abundance that inevitably exists amongst developed regions and are often taken for granted.

“Acqueduct” includes two fire hydrants capable of delivering 150 gallons per minute, 10 fire hoses, a manual water pump, a traffic Fitch barrier – which yields 185 gal, a bucket, a megaphone and a rudimentary cone to compose an evocative presentation full of light and sound.

Each fire hose extends toward the ceiling and terminates with a light as a symbol of power and prosperity.
