Interior Design Writer & Author Introduces New Ceramics Line FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Feb. 3, 2012, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts —Prolific interior design and architecture writer and author, Anna Kasabian is announcing the introduction of her handmade porcelain tableware and collectibles. Aptly named Snowbound Pottery (Snowboundpottery.com), her bowls, small server trays and bud vases are white and one-of-a-kind, created in her hand without a wheel. Many of her bowls and vases recall the characteristics of flower petals, leaves and seashells. The food safe bowls are sized from one inch in diameter to as large as 6.5 inches; trays from 3 to 8 inches, and bud vases from 3 to 71/2 inches high. Her body of work grows and evolves by the month. New items to come soon include her signature shaped bowls restyled into berry bowls. The bowls are ideal as individual salt pinch carriers at place settings, for holding a precious ring or two at bedside, or can be arranged in a row to hold floating flower buds, replacing large table bouquets. Larger bowls are ideal for holding everything from condiments to berries and desserts.
Bud vases are perfect for individual place settings, arranged in a little cluster on a side table, or set in a row on a dining table.

“I adore the surprise, the unpredictable results, the organic forms that come as a result of my hand, that particular piece of clay, and what is on my mind as I work it. Each shape is pure, and pure creative. “Hand building is not about being perfect, and for me that is the magic. In today’s world of buzz and click, we need high touch to counter the affects of high tech. What we use in our daily lives, in our nests, soothe, calm and ground us. “
