‘Candelabro’ will be presented at Salone Satellite during Milan Design Week 2012.

Designed by Diana Vernaza Gonzenbach and Jorge de la Cruz in collaboration for ‘Let it open’ exhibition.

Let it open is an exhibition about how is changing the contemporary designers work when designing and sharing acquired knowledge. The project is inspired by ‘Open Design’ methodology, from Enzo Mari´s Autoprogettazione in 1977, until current movements like ‘Recession design’ and ‘Infraestructures’ by Thomas Lommee. Each project is composed by standard components industrially made. Open Source objects that allows easy construction, replacing or fixing pieces by anyone at anywhere with an affordable price.

‘Candelabro’ is made of lacquered Ash wooden rods and copper pipes joints. Joining those pieces, a triangulated stable structure is formed. This structure allows holding three candles.
