The North Sea boring? No way! A special exposition in Blijdorp Zoo (called ‘Expo Zeereservaten’, or ‘Expo Marine Reserves’) proves just that. Spectacularly lit walls, miraculously vanishing fish and a seaweed forest that reaches the ceiling give visitors the sensation of walking on the ocean floor. The exposition makes a case for marine reserves in the North Sea. Without these reserves the North Sea’s rich biodiversity is likely to disappear. ‘Expo Zeereservaten’ is an initiative of Greenpeace in collaboration with design studio De Organisatie.
