Famous OTO realistic shot

Famous OTO is a miniature cardboard food truck for kids. The conception, design and super-detailed illustrations were created by Swedish-born, NYC-based animator and graphic designer Måns Swanberg who goes by the artist name Pistachios. Famous OTO is made in NYC and is designed to be easy to set up and take down. When assembled, the truck measures 44 x 42 x 26 inches, or 100 x 90 x 61 cm. It’s huge! It’s non-toxic as well as 100% recyclable and biodegradable. ( please see images attached.)

The artwork on the truck was created in two steps. First, the truck was modeled and rendered in 3D by HIFI3D, to achieve realistic shadings and reflections as well as an insane level of detail down to the last screw. After that, the lettering and illustrations were drawon on top of the renders.

The truck is made out of five parts. Each part is printed using offset printing, where four process colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) are printed in separate passes for top quality color and detail. The printed sheets are laminated onto corrugated board. After that, the parts get their final shape stamped out in a die-cutter.

The Indiegogo Campaign is needed to raise money to supplement the costs of manufacturing the product. To manufacture this toy, each of the truck’s five parts requires its own custom cutting die as well as 4 printing plates, one for each color. Since the truck’s format is so big, the costs up front for cutting dies and printing plates are huge, just to get the first copies out the door. And those costs are the same no matter how many copies I order, 10 or 10,000.
The manufacturing will take place in the US. This also means that things cost a bit more.
