reorganised bookshelf and sidetable are part of the furniture series inspired by the platonic solids.
The shelf represents a rearranged icosahedron. The rigorous form of the solid is cancelled and reduced to a pattern of its faces leading to a new quality of the object. Through the mutual arrangement of the shelf elements a spatial depth is created.
The side table includes the elements of both tetra- hedron and hexahedron and oscillates between the both forms depending of the position of the observer. The reflections in the polished surfaces of the base and the underside influence the perception of the observer while approaching the table. The hexahe- dron seems to fluently turn into the tetrahedron and vice versa.
