“This project was initiated without any particular order from a customer. Only the will to design the best easy chair I could muster with the excellent manufacturing artisan means in my native Uruguay. No CNC machinery is required for this piece. I tried making a piece that would look quite complex and rich in terms of shape and form, and yet that could be produced easily by any good artisan.

It takes a lot of influence from the mid twentieth century scandinavian design school. Made of solid ash wood and bent plywood, this is a most strong, endurable and comfortable piece of furniture.

Even though the prototype is not upholstered, it would be an interesting option just like the in the Shell chair from Wegner. This piece is both or neither old and new. One could trace its influences back to the 60´s or even 50`s, and yet would never look old, but always rather contemporary”.
