The inspiration of the collection arose while walking along the Utrecht canal in Holland.
The similarities and close relationship between the bark, from the trees along the river, and the oxidation of the iron railing overlooking it, are the essence of the concept. These shapes were reworked and stylized defining a smooth pattern which gives the impression that they have been polished through the wind of time. Those forms were applied to some objects with different techniques and materials: a bridge-bench sculpture, a lamp, a cup and a jewel.
The cups and the lamps are cast in porcelain in the traditional way. The bench is composed by an arch of solid ashwood bent with steam, and the oxidized corten steel plate, is laser-cut and coated in protective resin. The earrings are made of silver also with a casting technique.
